Coweta County school holidays begin Wednesday

From Staff Reports news@newnan.com Students in the Coweta County School System will be heading home for the Christmas holidays this Wednesday, Dec. 21. The break will extend for two weeks, with classes resuming on Thursday, Jan. 5, 2012. A teacher workday is scheduled for Wednesday, Jan. 4.
Later in the month, on Jan. 16, schools will be out for the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday. A winter break is scheduled from Feb. 20-24. March 16 is a school holiday, and spring break comes the following month, extending from April 2-6. The final day of class for the 2011-12 school year will be Friday, May 25. Following a May 28 holiday, teachers will have post-planning days on May 29-31.
