Bypass potholes: I have to drive over 20 potholes just to come into my neighborhood, due to the bypass construction tearing up our entrance. Someone should be required to smooth out the business and neighborhood entrances every morning.

Where's van for vets? Can anyone tell me why Coweta does not have a van shuttle service to transport disabled veterans to the VA medical center in Decatur? I have to go to Hogansville and catch the Troup County van on the days I have appointments.

Addy winner from Newnan: The 2012 Addy's award for the Atlanta region was presented to Joseph Ragsdale of Newnan. He's currently attending the Atlanta Art Institute. Parents Paul and Carol Ragsdale couldn't be more proud.

Teacher appointments: Except in the case of illness, teachers have 175 days off per year to schedule routine doctor appointments. I can't see why any teacher would need to schedule routine checkups on a school day. Again, unexpected illness is another story.

Do it yourself: If these "occupy" people put out any kind of effort at all, they have youth, vigor and intellect on their side. Quit whining/begging and build your own home, establish your own business and be happy living life on your own and not on aid.

Another politician: The masses voted for President Obama because he preached to the masses what they needed to hear, but he never walked in our shoes. He has led a pampered life -- not even a job -- just another politician.

Stop whining: Want to know why I don't get angry about WIC and food stamps? Because all children need to eat, regardless of their parents. Did you know people foster and adopt kids and get lots of money for it, too? Stop whining and demonizing the poor.

Pick Newt: I agree that President Obama is a great leader. He's led this country so far down the road of no return we will never see the light of day. Any of the Republicans would be a better choice, but Newt seems the one who can get us on track.

Visual arts: As a taxpayer I hope the new education plan to increase the quality on instruction in all subject areas will include the visual arts in Coweta County public schools, and improve teacher quality.

Georgians beware: A vote for Newt Gingrich will put President Obama back into the White House for four more years. How could you support Gingrich, who has no morals? Mitt Romney is best choice.

A vote for Santorum: I will proudly cast my vote for Rick Santorum because he best represents our Christian morals. Even if he does not carry Georgia, my vote will be saying I believe in truth, the Bible and honesty.
